We are a truly local charity providing essential animal welfare services across Suffolk

The RSPCA Suffolk Central branch exists to help animals across Suffolk. Our Animal Centre in Martlesham can care for over 100 animals in need at any one time. Through our welfare clinics and financial assistance scheme we support over 2,000 people and pets annually by providing heavily subsidised veterinary treatment.

Everything we do is funded by support from our local community via our charity shops, fundraising efforts, donations and gifts in Wills.

Adoption & rehoming

Our Animal Centre based in Martlesham has up to 100 animals in our care at any time. Could you offer a forever home to an animal in need? Take a look at our current residents below.

Pet of the Week

Charlie

At just 1 years old, this handsome boy has already been on a long journey. Over the past 6 months he has been working through an intense rehabilitation programme, learning how to feel safe and confident in the world around him.

Kennel life proved too stressful for him, but for the last 2 months he has been thriving in a foster home, where he’s finally be able to relax and his true personality start to shine. With people he trusts he is incredibly affectionate, playful and full of love. Like any Labrador, food is the way to his heart and he enjoys his positively reinforced training and he will often greet you with a big waggy body and his favourite dinosaur to mouth.

He is now looking for a “foster in view to adopt” home that can continue supporting him on this journey. He will need patient and knowledgeable owners committed to his ongoing training, especially when outside the comfort of his home. His new family will also need to have at least one person at home at all times, so he can gradually learn that being alone for short periods is ok.

Charlie may be able to live with another suitably matched dog, as long as they are neutered, fully vaccinated, calm and confident and is right for both dogs. He is such a sweet dog and deserves to find someone who can walk the rest of his journey with him.

You made a difference in 2025

There are many ways YOU can help raise the vital funds that we need to deliver our vital services. RSPCA Suffolk Central receives no funding from the government, all the running costs of the branch comes from generous donations, fundraising and legacies from the public and local community. But together this is what we achieved last year..
