Get to know me…

Barbara came into our care after her previous owner was sadly unable to take her to their new home.

When she first arrived, Barbara found the change quite overwhelming and became a little defensive of her space. To help ease her anxiety while in the cattery, we decided to start her on medication, combined with time and patience, Barbara has begun to show her affectionate side again. She’s no longer defensive and now enjoys small fusses and strokes on her terms.

Barbara is looking for calm, understanding adopters who can continue her medication while she settles into a new environment (we hope this will only be needed short-term). She’s looking for a quiet home where she can take things at her own pace and build confidence in her own time.

With time and space we hope Barbara will blossom into the loving, affectionate companion we know she can be.
