More about me

Get to know me…

Pongo arrived at the centre after his owner was moving and sadly wasn’t able to take him.

Pongo struggled to show his affectionate side to begin with and would often seek comfort in his igloo bed, only coming out overnight when staff aren’t around.
With time and space, Pongo’s confidence has grown around us and he has now decided he wants to be friends! He enjoys nothing more than receiving as much fuss as he can get his paws on, so much so that he often gives a little pat for more when we have stopped.

During a routine health check, Pongo was diagnosed with heart disease. He’s currently stable and takes his medication easily mixed into his food. The branch will assist with funding towards his medication. While we don’t know how long he has left, Pongo is blissfully unaware and continues to enjoy life exactly as it comes, especially when it involves human company.

We would love nothing more than to see Pongo spend his golden years in a quiet, loving home rather than the centre. He’s looking for someone who can give him plenty of affection and company in his retirement, whilst also being able to keep a close eye on him for any changes, seeking veterinary advice when needed in the future.

Could you be the one to give our lovely Pongo his special retirement home?
