More about me

Get to know me…

Sadly we do not have much history on Obie’s past, as he was found abandoned in a local park, too weak to stand with wounds and scars all over his body suggesting that his muzzle had been taped shut, and corrosive liquid thrown over his body.

Despite his heart-breaking start to life, he is such a sweet boy who loves spending time with his favourite humans and playing with all of his toys. Obie is so full of character, and makes everyone smile with his quirky personality and cheeky ways. Despite being a Cane Corso who are well known for their larger size, Obie is weighing in at only 34kg so is on the smaller side for his breed.

He did show some mouthing behaviours in his previous home, so he will need experienced owners who are physically strong and used to larger breeds. Owners must be willing to continue his training in his new home with the support of our dedicated team, and be willing to seek the help of a certified clinical animal behaviourist if needed.

Obie is looking for a home where everyone is over the age of 16 years, with at least 2 adults and no other pets. He will really benefit from a predictable and reliable routine in his new home, and will need to be introduced to things gradually to ensure that he does not become to overwhelmed.

Obie is such a loving dog, he will just need a little extra guidance when transitioning into his new home. He will be the most rewarding rescue for his new family and shower you with so much love and affection – Can you open your home to our goofy dog in need?
