Baby arrived at the centre following a change in circumstances for her previous owner.
She is currently finding cattery life quite overwhelming and, for now, prefers to stay hidden away under blankets or tucked into safe spots. To help her cope during her stay, Baby has been started on Gabapentin, which will need to be continued in her new home until she begins to feel more settled.
As we have very little information about Baby’s past, it’s difficult to know whether she is naturally reserved or simply reacting to the stress of her current environment. However, she has shown small moments of affection, which suggests that the cattery environment may be the main cause of her anxiety.
Because of this, Baby is looking for a calm and quiet home where she can adjust at her own pace, without any pressure to interact or be affectionate. Any affection she chooses to show in the future should be viewed as a bonus rather than an expectation.
Do you have the right home for Baby to call her own?
