Please note: We do not have an open intake policy, and you need to make an appointment if you wish to surrender an animal(s).

Waiting list
We run a waiting list for owners hoping to sign their animals over into our care, however, space in our Animal Centre is limited and we have to prioritise cruelty cases triaged by the RSPCA Inspectorate.
Although we cannot guarantee to be able to accept your animal into our care, we always welcome your calls and will do what we can to assist in supporting you and your pet.
It is important that you are based within our branch area and your pets microchip is registered to an address within this area too.
Welfare assistance
If you are struggling to care for your pet for financial reasons, our welfare assistance schemes may be able to help. For eligible owners, we can contribute to urgent vet care.
Our Ipswich Welfare Clinic can also help with subsidised vet consultations, medication, pet food and microchipping.
