Winter Warmer Appeal
Christmas can be a difficult time for the animals at our Martlesham Animal Centre and each year we appeal for your help in making Christmas special for them.
This year, we really need your help. The winter months can be tough at our centre, especially when it gets really cold, and we are asking for your help in keeping all the animals safe and warm in the colder months.
If an animal has ever given you joy, inspired you or simply made you smile, donating to our branch is a wonderful way to help this festive season.
All our branch services are delivered to help animals in need across Suffolk, your local community.

Why we need your help this winter
We have made big steps to help reduce our heating bills at our Martlesham Animal Centre by installing solar panels and changing to LED lights (all thanks to a generous grant), but it still costs us a huge amount of money to keep the animal enclosures cosy and warm in Winter and we are hoping to raise £4,000 with your help.

What does it cost to heat our enclosures?
Dog kennel
It costs £75 per kennel per month to keep our dogs cosy and warm.
Cat pen
Our cats have lovely private rooms with their own radiators, but this costs us £50 per month for each cat.
Small mammals, Ferrets and Birds
Our other residents including small mammals such as guinea pigs, gerbils and rats; ferrets and birds each have their own units, but pens in each of these cost from £30 per month to heat.
How we say thank you
We will send a personalised card to every donor to say thank you!
If you’d like to make a donation as a gift this Christmas, please note this on our donation page and we will send the card, addressed to them with your message, to your address.
Please ensure that any gift is purchased at least two weeks before Christmas to ensure we can mail these out to you in time!
