We are a truly local charity providing essential animal welfare services across Suffolk

The RSPCA Suffolk Central branch exists to help animals across Suffolk. Our Animal Centre in Martlesham can care for over 100 animals in need at any one time. Through our welfare clinics and financial assistance scheme we support over 2,000 people and pets annually by providing heavily subsidised veterinary treatment.

Everything we do is funded by support from our local community via our charity shops, fundraising efforts, donations and gifts in Wills.

Adoption & rehoming

Our Animal Centre based in Martlesham has up to 100 animals in our care at any time. Could you offer a forever home to an animal in need? Take a look at our current residents below.

Pet of the Week

Hopper, Stevie & Wilma

Hopper and her sisters were brought in by one of our inspectors as they were living in an unsuitable environment.

We only know a little about their history but assume they probably had a very stressful life before being brought in. These girls can be wary and nervous due to their experiences. We have been working hand in hand with a behaviourist and are socialising them in their pace with a lot of patience and positive rewards and start to see positive changes towards us. As they are on a behaviour plan, future adopters need to follow this to make sure the girls gaining confidence and starting to trust in humans.

Hopper and her sisters love their safe cage with their fun enrichment that keeps their minds busy and once they have tired themselves out from all the foraging, you will find them all snuggled up together in their favourite hide.

Do you have a space in your home for these loving sisters?

You made a difference in 2025

There are many ways YOU can help raise the vital funds that we need to deliver our vital services. RSPCA Suffolk Central receives no funding from the government, all the running costs of the branch comes from generous donations, fundraising and legacies from the public and local community. But together this is what we achieved last year..
