We are a truly local charity providing essential animal welfare services across Suffolk

The RSPCA Suffolk Central branch exists to help animals across Suffolk. Our Animal Centre in Martlesham can care for over 100 animals in need at any one time. Through our welfare clinics and financial assistance scheme we support nearly 3,000 people and pets annually by providing heavily subsidised veterinary treatment.

95% of everything we do is funded by support from our local community via our charity shops, fundraising efforts, donations and gifts in Wills.

Adoption & rehoming

Our Animal Centre based in Martlesham has up to 100 animals in our care at any time. Could you offer a forever home to an animal in need? Take a look at our current residents below.

Pet of the Week

Mini Moo & Ben

Mini Moo and Ben came into our care from different circumstances. Since being at the centre, this duo have found themselves best of friends!

Mini Moo and Ben are a newly bonded pair ready to find their new forever home together. Mini Moo is a kind and gentle ferret who can be a bit lazy at times but does love to play ! Ben on the other hand is still quite young so is still learning all about good ferret manners when it comes to him and people. Ben is looking for a calm and patient owner who will continue his positive socialising so he can grow up to be a friendly ferret.

This fun and energetic duo love to play with their enrichment and exploring their surroundings together. Their favourite past times consist of dook dooking around in their favourite tunnels or snoozing the day away tucked in a warm blanket.

Do you have a loving home for this wonderful pair?

Christmas video

Our welfare clinics in Ipswich, Stowmarket and Bury St Edmunds offer access to subsidised vet care and medication for low-income families, helping them keep their pets in their loving homes. We help nearly 3,000 animals a year with this service ❤
Our Christmas video highlights this aspect of our work - but beware, it's a bit of a tear-jerker!

You made a difference in 2024

There are many ways YOU can help raise the vital funds that we need to deliver our vital services. RSPCA Suffolk Central receives no funding from the government, all the running costs of the branch comes from generous donations, fundraising and legacies from the public and local community. But together this is what we achieved last year..
