We are a truly local charity providing essential animal welfare services across Suffolk

The RSPCA Suffolk Central branch exists to help animals across Suffolk. Our Animal Centre in Martlesham cares for around 90 animals in need at any one time. Through our welfare clinics and financial assistance scheme we support over 3,000 people and pets annually by providing heavily subsidised veterinary treatment.

95% of everything we do is funded by support from our local community via our charity shops, fundraising efforts, donations and gifts in Wills.

Adoption & rehoming

Our Animal Centre based in Martlesham has up to 100 animals in our care at any time. Could you offer a forever home to an animal in need? Take a look at our current residents below.

Pet of the week

Pallas & Cloudy

Cloudy and Pallas must be rehomed together.

Cloudy came into our care with her siblings and mum (Pallas) after being found as part of a colony with an upper respiratory infection.

Cloudy's favourite thing in life is her mum! She is often found cuddling up to Pallas or playing games around their pen. Because Cloudy has had quite a sheltered up bringing surrounded by under socialised cats, Cloudy is considered to be an “inbetweener cat”. Cloudy is happy to live with the comforts of a domestic cat but wants the space that a semi-feral cat would require to live happily.

Unfortunately Pallas did not have the best start in life so is very under socialised. The team believe that being fed by someone throughout her life has allowed her to accept the presence of humans but not to the extent that she wants to be touched like most domestic cats.

When Pallas’s kittens were ready to leave the nest, Pallas found it quite difficult to leave one in particular – Cloudy! this little duo loves spending time together and playing games with each other so would love to find a home they can share.

Because of their sheltered up bringing, Pallas and Cloudy are looking for the perfect “inbetweener home” where they can get the comforts of a domestic cat but the space of a semi-feral cat.

Do you have the right home for these girls to live happily along side humans?

You made a difference in 2023

There are many ways YOU can help raise the vital funds that we need to deliver our vital services. RSPCA Suffolk Central receives no funding from the government, all the running costs of the branch comes from generous donations, fundraising and legacies from the public and local community. But together this is what we achieved in 2023...
