Volunteer Ipswich Welfare Clinic Receptionist
Our Ipswich Welfare Clinic is looking for volunteer receptionist/s to help at our clinic sessions that run each Tuesday and Friday (11am-2pm). You could work one or both days depending on your availability.
Main duties would include checking-in patients, registering new patients, preparing bills and taking payments, dispensing pre-ordered medication and other admin duties as required. You will need experience in using MS Office software (Word, Excel etc.)
Our Ipswich Welfare Clinic provides subsidised vet care and medication to low-income families, helping over 1,600 pets a year stay in their loving homes.
A kind, patient and understanding disposition is essential, as is a love of animals!

Volunteer Shop Assistants (Reynolds Road, Ipswich)
We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to work a 2, 3 or 4-hour shift, either morning or afternoon, with our wonderful team at our Reynolds Road Charity Shop in Ipswich any day between Monday to Saturday. Our shop is open 10am-4pm each day.

Volunteer Gardener
Are you a keen gardener with a few hours to spare a month, or just someone that likes working outside?
Our Reynolds Road Ipswich charity shop has a back garden/yard from which we run outdoor events such as yard sales and Fun Days! This yard and the side alleyway gets very full of weeds and our shop team would love some help keeping on top of the maintenance.
We can provide tools if you can provide a couple of hours a month, we’re totally flexible on days/hours. If you have a car/driving licence and are able to drop the garden waste off at the tip too, we would love that!

Volunteer Shop Assistants (Tacket St, Ipswich)
Our Tacket Street Ipswich shop is on the look out for volunteers who could offer a few hours a week to help instore. Flexible hours/days are available!
We’d love shop assistants to help customers, operate the tills, undertake visual merchandising and create window displays.
But we also need help behind the scenes with sorting, steaming, and pricing stock if that is what you prefer.

Volunteer Shop Assistants (Stowmarket)
We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to work with our dedicated and hardworking team at our Stowmarket Charity Shop on Tuesday or Fridays mornings 9.30am-1.30pm, but we can work around your availability.
As a shop volunteer, you would help serve customers, sort stock, and even help make window displays, but if you prefer to remain behind the scenes sorting and preparing stock for sale,that would be marvellous too!
It would be helpful if you have worked in retail or have previous customer service experience but not essential, as we are looking for people who love animals, are passionate about making a difference in their community, and want to contribute their time and skills. It’s an exciting opportunity to join our already existing team of loyal volunteers.

Volunteer Shop Assistant (Bury St Edmunds)
Our newest charity shop in Bury St Edmunds is in need of volunteers to help on a Tuesday morning, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.
If you have a couple of hours to spare each week and would be interested in helping out on the shop floor – helping customers, working on the till, displaying stock and generally keeping things looking nice and tidy, we’d love to hear from you.

Volunteer Collection Co-ordinators (East or West Suffolk)
Our fabulous team of volunteers run regular store collections across Suffolk helping to raise valuable funds and spread awareness of our vital work and upcoming fundraising events.
We are looking for a Volunteer Store Collection Co-ordinator to help plan and organise these collections in both the East Suffolk area (Felixstowe to Needham Market) and West Suffolk area (Stowmarket to Bury St Edmunds)
Activities involve:
- Liaise with our Community Engagement Administrator on locations/dates required and ensure bookings confirmed with store/head office.
- Co-ordinate with Store Managers on logistics/timings for the day.
- Book in volunteer collectors before each date (usually around 6 required for 2 hour shifts each), with assistance from Community Engagement Administrator and send information/reminders before the day to the team.
- Prepare collection buckets with labels and seal with ties.
- Deliver buckets, table and literature to a collector who is doing the first shift.
- Collect the buckets, table and literature from the last collectors and deliver the buckets to a Trustee to count/bank the takings.
- Follow up communications to volunteers, branch team and store manager notifying them of collection total and sending thank you’s.

Store Collection Volunteers
We are looking for volunteers who could help volunteering at our store collections.
Each shift usually last two hours and you can be inside/outside the store with collection/donation buckets and handing out leaflets. Shifts cover:
- 10am-12noon
- 12noon-2pm
- 2pm-4pm
NB: If you haven’t volunteered as a collection volunteer for us we will need you to provide two references.
We have several collections planned covering Ipswich, Holbrook, Felixstowe, Debenham, Bury St Edmunds and Stowmarket.

Event volunteers | Ipswich Half Marathon | Sunday 27th September 2026
As charity partners to the Ipswich Half Marathon we need to supply volunteers to help with the event – and we are looking for volunteer Route Marshalls.
Whilst keeping an eye on the route you will primarily be there to sing (if you wish), dance and cheer runners as they take on the mile. Being out on course is fantastic way to see the events close up, to see thousands of runners and be part of the exciting atmosphere. Due to the nature of the role Route Marshals must be aged 18 years old and over.

Event Volunteers
We are looking for volunteers to help us at our various fundraising events happening all year round!
In particular we are looking for volunteers to help with:
- Promoting the events before the day (via social media, leaflet drops or putting up a poster in local shops, schools, vets, dog groomers, etc)
- Making cakes and similar for the refreshment stalls
- Serving refreshments
- Set-up and take down the stalls
