Martlesham Animal Centre
Dog Sensory Garden
We’ve been fundraising for our Dog Sensory Garden project over the last year, and are delighted to have started developing the final plans and preparing the area to start work!
The Dog Sensory Garden will provide a safe and calm environment, separated from our exercise field, that will allow dogs the ideal space to relax out of their kennel, enjoy different smells and a slower pace while undergoing important training and rehabilitation. We hope that by providing this wonderful space they will be ready for rehoming sooner, allowing us to help more dogs in need across Suffolk.
If you are able to help with donating some of the materials we need for this vital project we’d be really grateful, and we’ve put an Amazon Wish List (below) together with some of elements we need. If you have any of these second-hand in good condition, or ex-display stock you could donate that would work too, so do please get in touch!

Ipswich Welfare Clinic
Clinic refurbishment
A recent volunteering day helped clean up our Ipswich Welfare Clinic and we’ve been inspired to keep up the good work!
The clinic is a very busy and really valuable resource providing access to subsidised vet care for low-income families as well as support with microchipping and neutering in the local community. We’d love the clinic to be able to provide a great environment to welcome visitors and continue to allow us to provide care to pets in Suffolk.
We’ve created an Amazon Wish List of all the bits we’d love to help us progress with this project, and would be thrilled if you could help!
Fundraising events
Help our small fundraising team
As a small local charity we don’t have a big central team and rely on the help of our kind volunteers and Trustees.
We try and get out and about to attend as many events as we can – not only to fundraise – but to provide education on animal welfare, talk about the impact our work is having in the local community and engage kids and families with the benefits of pet ownership!
To help our small team we’d love to organise their storage area and provide materials to help them set up events with minimal help.
