What is Safe Haven?

Sponsoring one of our purpose-built animal accommodation units at our Animal Centre is a wonderful way to directly support hundreds of animals each year, with one small monthly donation. No pet is at their happiest in the animal centre – all they really want is a home of their own; but we need your help.

You can choose to sponsor a cat cabin, dog kennel, rabbit/ferret pen, aviary or small animal enclosure. Whatever your choice, your sponsorship will help to rehabilitate and rehome the animals who spend time in your sponsored unit each year; and also help to provide them with expert, exemplary care whilst they await their forever home.

Sponsorship money goes directly to help animals in need across Suffolk.

The difference it makes

Your support will help to keep the accommodation unit clean, fill it with toys and enrichment, provide nourishing food, and fund trained carers to give health checks and lots of love.

It costs around £1,500 a week to run our animal centre, which cares for  around 100 animals at any one time. From just £5 a month, you can help to feed and care for them.

How we say thank you

Whether you’re sponsoring animal accommodation for yourself, as a gift for a loved one, or in memory of a beloved friend or pet, we will say thank you by sending you a certificate detailing your gift and the name of the sponsor and a free pen.

We also offer you the opportunity to have a leaf hung on our our beautiful Safe Haven tree at our Martlesham Animal Centre, detailing your generous sponsorship, with all the other animal lovers – and you are always welcome to visit and take a look!

We’d love you to write your message of love or dedication out yourself, personalising your leaf to you – just let us know when buying if this is something you’d like to do.

Pictures and wonderful memories are actively encouraged!
