More about me
Get to know me…
Ben arrived at the centre after his owner sadly passed away.
Ben had found the adjustment difficult to begin with and preferred to keep himself tucked away from his human carers.
With time, patience and his love for treats, we have gained Ben’s trust. So much so that he is often at the front of his pen chatting away to us to get our attention, and loves to have lots of head rubs from his favourite human friends.
To support Ben whilst he’s in the cattery, we have started him on Gabapentin. Since being on this medication he has relaxed. When staff are not around, he enjoys playing with a variety of toys, or simply watching the world go by.. This medication needs to be continued into his new home, in the hopes of weaning off once Ben is comfortable.
Upon a routine vet check, we discovered Ben to have Hyperthyroidism. He is receiving medication for this, which he takes well in his food. The centre will provide support towards the ongoing cost of his treatment.
Ben is looking for adopters who will give him all the time and space he needs to become comfortable in his new environment, and we’re sure it won’t be long until his affectionate side shines through.
Do you have the right home for Ben to call his own?
