Jacket potatoes and jokers – Autumn quiz breaks £1,200
Spud the cat, pictured, says a huge thank you to all our brilliant quizzers and volunteers who raised a magnificent £1,273.63 at our Autumn quiz night on 17 October.
Our kitchen crew baked and served 100 jacket potatoes and fillings, and our raffle was a sensation, with more prizes donated on the night than we could fit on the table! Many thanks to everyone who gave us a prize, and to Susanne, Katie, Diane, Abby, Stephen and Mary for the food and hot drinks. Our appreciation goes, as always, to Geoffrey for writing and hosting an excellent quiz, and Jean for marshalling the scores.
With an outstanding field of 19 teams playing on the night, the quiz was won by the Woodentops, with the winners of our Spring quiz, the 50%ers, hot on their heels. Congratulations to them, and all the teams who took part.
The hall hire fee was donated by a regular supporter.
Our next event is our last Fun Dog Show of the year, at Great Barton Village Hall on Sunday 25th October, from 11:30am to 3:30pm. There will be a range of gorgeous craft stalls in the village hall, and the dog show registration opens at noon.
